Roots And Tubers
The average home gardener might find themselves starting out by growing a few carrots, perhaps some radishes, along with a potato mound. After awhile the question arises, "What ELSE can be grown underground in my garden?" As it happens, there are numerous root crops available for various growing conditions. There are roots and tubers for hot areas, for cool areas, for high elevation areas, and at the very least there there are a few things that will grow for just about any gardener. A major issue for new gardeners trying to figure out what roots and tubers exist is that they are not as easy to find at garden centers as simple seeds. They tend to be more expensive, and far more variety is available by mail order, and that's only after one does enough research to see what exists.
